Market Overview

Today’s trading landscape shows a general bearish sentiment across the board. Key indicators like the VIX, dollar, and US10Y yield are all in the green, hinting at downward pressure on equities. Here’s a breakdown of specific tickers and the market setups to watch today.

$QQQ (Nasdaq-100 ETF)

  • Support: 512 (0DTE put support)
  • Resistance: 515 (strong call resistance)

If the market opens below 515, that level may serve as a firm resistance point, creating a potential short setup. Targeting the 512 support level on this move could be worthwhile. Keeping an eye on that range can help you gauge the Nasdaq’s direction today.

$SPY (S&P 500 ETF)

  • Key Levels: Below 597.60, watch for high volatility with solid put support at 596.
  • Gamma Wall: 600

The gamma wall at 600 could present a good short opportunity if the market makes a run toward it. Below 597.60, expect volatility to increase.

Volatility Index (VIX), Dollar, and US10Y Yield

With VIX up, the dollar rallying, and the 10-year Treasury yield trending green, these indicators add downside pressure to equities. Keep monitoring these as the day progresses, as rising levels here are typically associated with higher risk for equity markets.

$NVDA (NVIDIA)

  • Gamma Wall: 148 (less likely to be in play today)
  • Pre-Market: 143.43
  • Support: 138.46 – 138

NVIDIA shows more bearish sentiment than bullish. A possible short setup might be near the 148 gamma wall, although it’s unlikely we’ll see that level reached today. Watch the 138 area for a potential swing support if the stock slides lower.

$AAPL (Apple)

  • Support: 220 (multi-expiration and 0DTE put support)
  • Negative Gamma: Below 222.50
  • Gamma Wall: 230 (not in play today)

AAPL is showing some weakness today. Falling below 222.50 could trigger negative gamma. There’s strong support at 220, while the 230 gamma wall seems too far off to be a factor. Keep an eye on AAPL, especially if it approaches the 220 support.

$MSFT (Microsoft)

  • Support: 410
  • Resistance: 405 (call gamma wall)

Microsoft appears slightly bearish while remaining in a range. It has support around 410 and call resistance at 405, putting it in bullish territory, albeit with some weakness. If the broader market drops, MSFT could be a significant contributor to the decline, though there isn’t a clear trade setup for it right now.

$TSLA (Tesla)

  • Support: 340
  • Potential Targets: 350 and 378
  • Swing Area: 320

Tesla is trading flat in pre-market, but 340 presents a good long opportunity with a target at 350. Above 350, another long position could aim for 378. No shorts are advised for Tesla today, and it appears to have regained some of its “meme stock” status, so expect a bit of volatility.

$GOOG (Alphabet)

  • Support: 180
  • Target: 182.50

Alphabet is displaying bullish momentum. If the market retraces, look for support at 180, which could offer a solid long entry targeting 182.50.

$META (Meta Platforms)

  • Gamma Wall: 590 (bullish environment)
  • Support: 580
  • Negative Gamma: Below 577.50
  • Swing Area: 567.50

Meta is in a range, with strong support at 580. If the stock falls below 577.50, it moves into negative gamma territory. The swing area around 567.50 could act as a critical support if the broader market downturn intensifies.

$AMZN (Amazon)

  • Bullish Setup: Above 207.50 with a retest
  • Target: 210

Amazon stands out with the most promising bullish setup today. If it opens above 207.50 and successfully retests this level, it could rally toward the 210 target. However, if it rejects 207.50, it’s best to avoid shorting it and consider other setups instead.

Nasdaq Mini Futures

  • Short Area: 21300 (strong gamma wall)
  • Target Levels: 21218 and potential further down to 21100
  • Long Setup: Only above 21325 with targets at 21435 and 21500

There’s a choppy area between 21300 and 21325, so be cautious if the futures hover in this range. A short setup is preferred around 21300, while a long play above 21325 could reach toward 21500.

$SPX (S&P 500 Index)

  • Gamma Wall: 6000 (magnet level)
  • Targets: Downside to 5970, upside to 6033

The gamma wall at 6000 could pull prices, leading to an initial push at the open, but expect potential fading. Downside moves could reach 5970, while upside potential extends to 6033.

General Outlook

Overall, the market sentiment today leans bearish, with retracements expected at key levels. The green VIX, dollar, and US10Y yield strengthen the downside bias in equities. Monitoring these indicators will be essential to assessing risks throughout the trading session.

Trade smart and stay aware of the key levels. Good luck!
