The NDX futures market has been trading within a relatively narrow range since May, with the index currently approaching a critical support level around 29,000. The 100-day moving average has already been breached, and the 200-day sits just below at around 28,500. If this level fails to hold, it could lead to further declines and potentially test the next level of support around 28,000.

On the other hand, a bounce off the 29,000 level could signal a potential bottom in the market and potentially lead to a retest of the 30,000 level. The recent breakdown in the NDX has been accompanied by a decrease in trading volume, which could indicate a lack of conviction among traders and potentially lead to a period of consolidation.

It’s important to note that the NDX is highly correlated with other major indices, such as the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and any developments in these indices could have a significant impact on the NDX. Additionally, geopolitical events and macroeconomic factors could also influence the NDX and its potential future movements.
